Story
Bestoked are a boutique set building company specialising in bespoke construction for brand activations, stage and event.
Founded in 2017 by husband and wife team Michael and Sally Stokes. Michael has spent his career in the event industry – from his early days in music onto theatre, stage and event construction. Sally with a diverse background from media to the construction industry, it wasn’t a hard decision to know joining forces could spark a little magic.
Michael’s innate ability to bring creativity to life is second to none. “There is no such thing as a problem, always a solution” Sometimes we can forget the beauty in the bespoke so being able to deliver this to their clients is where the magic happens.
Bestoked are based in Sydney’s south in Caringbah and Melbourne, Thomastown with these locations Bestoked is confidently able to provide their services Australia wide. A warehouse with all the toys, including CNC router and paint booth enable them to take on pretty much anything clients throw their way for pretty much anywhere in Australia.

As Bestoked’s main client liaison, project manager, and hands-on builder, Michael combines technical expertise with a unique ability to interpret and bring creative concepts to life — from simple conversations to rough sketches. Known for his problem-solving mindset and commitment to exceptional results, he thrives on finding practical solutions that exceed client expectations.

Sally’s focus on efficiency, communication, and delivering projects on time allows the team to concentrate on creating high-quality builds while maintaining Bestoked’s hands-on, client-first approach.

As Bestoked’s Melbourne Projects Manager, he oversees every stage of the build process, ensuring quality, deadlines, and creative vision are consistently delivered. Combining hands-on practical knowledge with strong leadership and problem-solving skills, David excels at managing complex builds and keeping projects running smoothly under pressure. Respected across the industry for his reliability and expertise, he is a trusted project manager for creative agencies and large-scale event productions alike.
